Essi Vivono is an association founded with the aim of promoting film culture by creating spaces for sharing that are free, open, and democratic. Since 2015, it has been screening films in their original language, followed by discussions. Screenings are held weekly from September to June at the Auditorium of the Seriate Public Library.

Pietro Luigi Plati is the most important living Italian film projectionist. He has worked for the Bergamo Film Meeting since the mid-1980s and for Il Cinema Ritrovato in Bologna for more than twenty years. For decades, he was the only Italian projectionist working at the Locarno Film Festival, where he now serves as the technical supervisor for analog film projection.

In addition to these roles, he has collaborated with virtually every cinema in the province of Bergamo as both a projectionist and a technical consultant. His extensive experience has given him a remarkably deep and detailed knowledge of film projectors and celluloid film, in all its gauges, formats, origins, and historical periods.

An in-depth look at the work of Roberta Abeni, who, in conversation with Valeria Codara, discusses in detail the educational exercises developed at the lower secondary school in Chiari from 2018 to 2024.

Roberta Abeni (Brescia, 1981) studied Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Milan and Art History at the University of Pavia. She works in the fields of education, social design, graphic design, and illustration. At the school in Chiari, she taught Technology and led experimental workshops at the intersection of architecture, graphics, and design.

From this experience emerged the book CLASSE – Creative Libre Artistic Assignments with No Ergonomic Purpose, published in 2025 by Morsi Editore, a collection of reflections, images, and documentation of the project. CLASSE was recently awarded the “Architecture and Children Golden Cubes Award 2026” by CNAPPC.

Conversation between four activists from the terreAlt(r)e Collective.

During a two-day series of assemblies dedicated to drafting its Manifesto, the terreAlt(r)e Collective adopted the World Café methodology, organizing discussion tables around four key questions: who we are, what we do, how we do it, and how to take part. The Bulletin includes the full conversation between the people who analyzed and synthesized the responses that emerged around the theme of “who we are.”

The terreAlt(r)e Collective was founded to defend the territory of the Upper Seriana Valley and Val di Scalve (BG) from a new ski development project promoted by RS Impianti, the company that owns the Colere ski facilities, within the Orobie Natural Park, a protected area subject to Natura 2000 and SPA (Special Protection Area) restrictions.

The plan, with an estimated cost of around €70 million — €50 million of which would come from public funds — involves connecting Lizzola and Colere through the drilling of Pizzo di Petto to build a 50-seat cable car, and transforming Val Conchetta, currently an untouched area that is home to the Mare in Burrasca limestone Geosite, into a landscape of ski slopes and pylons. Through terreAlt(r)e, the collective promotes information, awareness, and dialogue within the affected territories.

Miss Goffetown is the pseudonym of Fulvia Monguzzi, an Italian visual artist and painter born in Desio in 1985. Her work is characterized by an experimental and ironic aesthetic that reinterprets everyday life with a sense of lightness and irreverence. Alongside her artistic practice, in 2020 she co-founded Spazio Martín in the Casoretto district of Milan, a multifunctional studio and exhibition space dedicated to art and community engagement.
